15 Days Until The Voice!!!

To make a donation CLICK HERE

Holy cow guys! My audition is seriously right around the corner! I wanted to say thank you again to those who have helped me raise some money for the trip expenses, and remind the ones who are still planning to help out that I will be closing donations on either Monday(27th) or Tuesday(28th). The website normally takes up to a couple days to send the money to my account I have set up for the trip, so I want to make sure it gets transferred before I leave Friday morning. Also, those of you who said you would rather send the money through mail or another way, you can message me on Facebook for more information, or email me at holly_bug43@yahoo.com.

Thank you so much everyone who has supported me in ANY way. Some people are not able to donate, but have provided so much support otherwise. And I want to say thank you to you as well. All of the encouragement; it means more to me than any dollar amount. I need to hear that you guys are confident in me, and you have certainly not failed in that aspect.

I also wanted to take this time to reach out to everyone reading this, and ask for a lot of prayers. Please pray for me as I travel to Nashville. Pray that God will calm my nerves, so that I can represent my talent he has given me as clearly and beautiful as possible. Pray that if I am not chosen to continue to the next audition, I will be strong enough to accept it and realize that this just wasn't MY opportunity.

I love you all so very much! Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!

God Bless!

xoxo,
                            Holly ;)

Hometown Tragedy - Rosewood, NC

(To view video on mobile, click here)

I have no words, as I make this post with a very heavy heart, so I will just simply share this video, along with the story. I am praying for the families of these teenagers, and the entire Rosewood community as we are all completely devastated by this tragedy.

Spenser Garrison,16 & Malia Porter, 15

 — One by one, hundreds of students and community members gathered around a flagpole at Rosewood High School Monday night.
Tears flowed. Candles were lit. Hugs were exchanged.
Students came to the vigil after hearing about two of their own.
Spenser Terry Garrison, 16, of Goldsboro, and Malia K. Porter, 15, of Pikeville, were found shot in a vehicle on Capps Bridge Road near the Little River Bridge Monday afternoon.
Garrison was pronounced dead at the scene. Porter was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where she died early Tuesday.
Both shot themselves, authorities said. They were boyfriend and girlfriend.
“It’s real, and now we have to deal with it,” said Josh Overton, a local youth pastor who attended the vigil. “And the way you deal with it is being there for each other. And loving each other. And remembering these families.”
Monday's incident was a tragic reminder of the consequences that come with some decisions, said Daniel Baines, a coach and teacher at the school.
“The kids, you know, they’re very vulnerable, they’re very vulnerable to things that are going on around them,” he said after the vigil. “I just hope that kids can understand that the decisions they can make can be fatal.”

My Friend Is Prego & It's Not Spaghetti Sauce!

I am sure I'm not the only one who has a Facebook news feed FULL of baby bumps and cute little chunky monkeys, but I can say that I am super excited that one of my best friends, Brooke, is adding to the list of expecting mommies!

I have 3 nephews and a niece, and now I get to be the "aunt" of another little blessing! Words can't describe how excited I am for Brooke and Cameron! I know that they are going to be wonderful parents!

The due date is August 12th! They do not know the sex yet, but either way... Daddy will have a new little hunting buddy! He or she will surely be covered in camo and plastered with face paint!

There's also a very good chance that he or she will be making their own hunting gear, seeing how they will be the child of a "crafty mommy"!

I also got the PLEASURE of taking "announcement" photos for Brooke and Cameron! I took a whole bunch on my camera as well as my iPhone and unfortunately, I could not find my cord ANYWHERE to plug the camera into the computer to edit them, so I had to do what I could with the ones taken on my iPhone. Luckily, it still takes pretty good pictures for being a phone! Brooke was pleased with them, so that's all that matters!

This is Dixie. Though she wasn't a HUGE fan of the sign dangling from her neck, I'm sure she's pretty pumped to have a new position as "Baby Body Guard Dog!" She is going through training already, learning what is NOT okay anymore, like jumping up on mommy and going nuts all over the bed. Gotta protect that baby bump! I'm sure that as the baby gets older, he or she is going to LOVE running around with Dixie and letting out that energy! We all know that dogs and children have 2 million times the energy we have!

Countdown to The Voice!

Let The Countdown Begin!

I am only 30 days away from my Nashville audition for The Voice! Words cannot describe to you my excitement! I have been singing since I was little and now is my shot to show my talent! I wanted to share some photos with you guys... I've been looking back at them and thinking of how much I have been inspired by music. It's truly a gift from God.

Can I just say how thankful I am for puberty? This picture is so old, and I am proud to say I am past that awkward stage in my life. Good thing this is blurry too. I am sharing this photo because it is from when I was first singing with my daddy's band. The man in the photo was the leader of the band, Greg. I considered the members of the band family.

I went through a HUGE karaoke phase. My aunt owned a local bar/pool hall and they had karaoke every Friday night, and you better believe I was there. These photos are from my 18th birthday party... karaoke was involved, of course. Eddie(singing with me) really broke down my voice and let me know what he thought... I am thankful to have met him, because he played a big part in the development of my voice.

Here are some more since then... Enjoy :)
